Minimal Form, Historic Material
This striking candle holder is shaped from Leadwood, an incredibly dense African hardwood known for its rich charcoal colour and weight. Its origins are dramatic: some pieces of Leadwood are salvaged from water-worn shipwreck timbers — weathered, aged, and bearing the quiet weight of history.
The form is deliberately simple — a single block, precisely drilled — allowing the texture, weight, and colour of the wood to speak for itself. Leadwood is so dense it sinks in water and is nearly impossible to dent or scratch. When used in candlelight, its dark, almost metallic surface glows subtly with reflected warmth.
Perfect for a rustic dining table, a modern meditation space, or as a moody touch in a minimalist setting, this candle holder brings raw power in its most elemental form.
