About our Founder – Paul
Paul is a skilled car mechanic who has run a successful shop in Bolton for decades, specialising in fixing engines and diagnosing automotive issues. Known for his attention to detail and precision, Paul has always had a knack for getting things just right.
Recently, he decided to follow his true passion and focus full-time on woodworking, a craft that brings him real happiness.
With his unique background in mechanics and woodworking, Paul combines these skills to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Always eager to learn and explore new ideas, Paul’s creativity shines through in every project he takes on.

Paul’s journey into woodworking began modestly in a small “man cave.” Everything changed when he stumbled upon a YouTube video of a craftsman building a wooden chest and thought, “I can do better than that.”
Starting with basic tools and a bag of oak fire wood, Paul began experimenting with simple projects. The satisfaction of creating beautiful items fuelled his passion. As his interest grew, so did his collection of woodworking tools, transforming his man cave into dedicated woodworking spaces.
A significant milestone was completing his first major project: the wooden chest, inspired by the video. This achievement boosted his confidence and solidified his commitment to woodworking. Friends and family started to take notice, asking him to commission custom pieces and encouraging him further.
Today, Paul’s workshop is a fully equipped woodworking haven, which showcases his skill and creativity. What began as a small hobby space has evolved into a sophisticated shop, reflecting Paul’s journey of passion, perseverance, and the joy of creating handcrafted pieces.
